Santa Fe Chili Corn Bread

Santa Fe Chili Corn Bread makes a great side dish for chili or even
steak. It is easy to make and gets a little kick from the cumin and green chilies.

1 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon McCormick(r) Ground Cumin
1/2 teaspoon McCormick(r) Chili Powder
1/2 teaspoon McCormick(r) Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup canned chopped green chilies
1 cup milk
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 egg
additional McCormick(r) Chili Powder

1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Lightly grease an 8-inch square pan.

2. Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl; add chilies. Add milk,
butter and egg; stir just until the dry ingredients are moistened.

3. Pour into pan; sprinkle with additional chili powder. Bake 20
minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Makes 12 servings
