BREAKFAST ROLLS
Sift a quart of flour and stir into it a saltspoonful
of sugar, a cup of warm milk, two tablespoonfuls of melted shortening
and two beaten eggs. Dissolve a quarter of a cake of compressed yeast in
a little warm milk and beat in last of all. Set the dough in a bowl to
rise until morning. Early in the morning make lightly and quickly into
rolls and set to rise near the range for twenty minutes.

Near the range? Why not in the range? And at what temp? Twenty minutes is OK!

The rising is before the baking - outside the oven but near so it is warm.
Hmmm… Cooking instructions area actually missing.
Try 10 minutes at 350 degrees but watch them closely.

Thank you for your reply. In the the future, can we stay with regular decent measurements. Like, forget F, I can convert, but nobody today talks in F, only oldish people. So, in the future, stay with C.
